Empress Silk Charmeuse Silk Pillowcase Sets

Silk charmeuse, which is also referred to as silk satin, is most often recognized for smooth feel and lustrous sheen and is considered the traditional luxury. These pillow cases are 100% silk charmeuse with a lovely 12.5 momme weight to create truly luxurious bed linens. Silk is made up of many amino acids which are thought to help keep your skin's youthful appearence. Silk also aids in keeping your hair smooth and shiny. Available in four colors from as shown from top of photo: Ivory, Pearl Grey, Blush (Pink) and Celadon.

Silk charmeuse is machine washable and dryable under cold water delicate cycle and no bleach.

Care Instructions: These are general care guidelines for silk. Please refer to specific care instructions on each label.

Hand Wash: All Empress Silk duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and apparel are washable. The preferred method is hand laundered in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. We do not recommend Woolite for silk. We suggest Charlie's Soap (at bottom of this page) or a similar pH netural, silk friendly soap. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk.

Machine Wash: Larger items can be machine washed. Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Silk dries quickly. Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.

Ironing: Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.
